I was in a really odd dreamlike state of mind recently, due to uni-related stress. I've not been able to make proper music, or write as much as I'd like, there's loads of work, bleh. I couldn't sleep, so instead I just went into my imagination and crafted a world to represent the angst and bleakness that prevented my sleep.

I had this black and white image in my head of the apocalypse; it was all blackened northern mill towns collapsing and people being devoured by Lovecraftian squid-monsters that burst forth from the splintering foundations. The image was covered in static noise so I couldn't make out exactly what anything was.

From what I could gather, people were going mad and turning on each other because an alien signal from some deep space pulsar had reached Earth and was waking the cthulhoid monsters up in the crust. Bizarre totalitarian regimes cropped up to try and stop the signal, but ended up succumbing to it and went about murdering each other.

This is as close to the sound in my dream or vision as I can fathom. Gibby might like it. It's a first go at some terrifying noise. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1612143/noise.mp3

In my imagination, this is how you spend the majority of your leisure time.

TKO have already done a song about cosmic terror. With words.

'Course we've forgotten it now.

I think Dan was actually there at the moment we forgot it. It was the first song at our Leverhulme Park gig.
